Fighting for a more transparent future in fashion is no small task. Fortunately, we don’t have to do it alone. Remake’s ambassador program is growing, and so is the impact we’re having on the garment industry. Here are what seven of our own ambassadors have to say about being a part of the Remake community — because we’re so proud of the work these women are doing!
“Being a Remake Ambassador has allowed me to connect with the most incredible group of passionate, courageous and like-minded people. I’ve already learned so much and become inspired to commit my future career to sustainable fashion. I am incredibly grateful to the Remake team for welcoming me into this one of a kind community.” — Emily McKay
“The most impactful part of being a Remake ambassador is getting involved in a movement that really cares about garment workers. I love being in this growing community of women who also believe that fashion can be a force for good. Seeing everyone working hard to make it happen gives me inspiration, strength and passion to do whatever I can to help and to keep fighting for a fairer industry.” — Rebeca Dallmaier
“The most impactful part for me is that I’ve been able to connect with people all around the world who care just as much about creating a more ethical fashion industry as I do. It gives me a lot of hope to see so many others wanting to be involved and be change makers. It’s great to know that there’s a whole community of people who will back me up as I try and make a difference.” — Jacqueline Rivera
“Witnessing the success of the Pay Up campaign and seeing how social media activism can make a real difference has been the most rewarding part of being a Remake Ambassador for me. Tackling fast fashion can feel super overwhelming and almost impossible. Being part fo this community reminds me that when we all come together, we can make real change happen.” — Lucy Hall
“The Remake ambassador community has empowered me to become the best version of myself while reaffirming my commitment to a more inclusive and sustainable world. The monthly calls are the perfect opportunity to have meaningful conversations that have continued to inform my understanding of the world and have expanded my global and cultural lens. Also, as an ambassador has given me the opportunity of being part of brand projects like the YES AND x REMAKE Wear Your Values campaign which encouraged me to continue buying better and supporting brands that are good for the earth!” — Claudia Steffens
“I am now so conscious of the clothing I wear in terms of how it was made and who made it. For me one of the most important features of the sustainability movement is acknowledging, respecting and fairly compensating the women who produce our garments. (And, I am committed to spreading the word as “boomer”….. a demographic with the greatest purchasing power.)” — Cynthia Sitcov
“I find it so uplifting and inspiring that there are so many of us around the world working to better a system that we all take part in. The sustainable and ethical fashion world is one I’m extremely proud of and one I hope to be a part of for a long time to come.” — Bella Stern
