More about the Event Partners…

About Sherri McMullen of McMullen: Her namesake store, McMullen, located in Oakland, California has become a go-to destination for anyone interested in a curated mix of established luxury designers and space to shop emerging Black and Brown designers. An experienced retail buyer with an eye for what is new and next, McMullen spent fifteen years building a platform to support designers of color and advocate for diversity and inclusivity in the fashion world. Drawing on her experience building brands, she used her acumen and perpetually on-target style radar to create a fashion destination and introduce now-popular designers such as Christopher John Rogers, Khiry, Lisa Folawiyo, Aisling Camps, Tove, and Arias to the public. https://shopmcmullen.com/pages/welcome

About Remake: Remake is a global advocacy organization based in San Francisco fighting for fair pay and climate justice within the clothing industry. Remake’s Theory of Change is that paying living wages to garment workers reduces the human and environmental harms with which our clothes are made today. Higher wages would shift the industry’s focus from producing cheap and disposable products while reducing carbon emissions. Fashion needs radically different business models and new modes of thinking to address the environmental and social impacts of the practices behind this crisis. Remake exists to fill that gap by driving systemic change within the fashion industry through education, legislation, campaigns, conversations, and initiatives.

About TheNOBO: TheNOBO is the only marketplace where users can Trade, Buy or Sell authentic pre-owned luxury products across a secure and authenticated marketplace. We’ve brought the age-old behavior of bartering to the luxury resale industry, finally giving consumers the opportunity to exchange their luxury products while conserving value, saving money, and extending the life cycle of their products!

About The Battery: The Battery was founded with the goal of hosting bright minds with big ideas and offering a sense of community amongst an ephemeral population. Designed by world-renowned interior designer, Ken Fulk, our club and luxury boutique hotel provide a welcome respite from the busy downtown streets without sacrificing proximity. A bit of fantasy, a bit of surprise, and a bit of seclusion in an increasingly public world await you.
