Remembering Rana Plaza – NYC

April 24 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join Remake’s NYC community on April 24th from 7:00 – 10:00 pm for an evening of remembrance and advocacy in partnership with Eco-Age and Synergy Social to honor the lives of the 1134 garment workers who died during the Rana Plaza collapse in 2013.

Rana Plaza is the biggest incident in garment manufacturing and a catalyst of the movement for human rights in fashion. Join us in honoring the martyrs by building community and continuing the calls for justice for garment workers around the world. Bring a friend, or two, who are not part of the sustainable fashion movement yet to learn about the International Accord and ways to take action domestically and internationally to ensure such a tragedy as Rana Plaza never occurs again.

There is power in community! We encourage you to build people power with us this 24th to raise awareness and advocate for climate justice in fashion. Join us in saying “Never Again”.

The evening will feature original artworks by Laiyonelth Hurtado, a Remake ambassador and Brooklyn-based artist from Colombia, and solidarity statements by leaders in the sustainable fashion movement.

This event is open to the public. Donations are encouraged to ensure the continuation of our work.

We remember Rana Plaza!
