Remake July Community Call

July 8 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

With the hottest temperatures on record, the climate crisis is upon us. Garment production work is already hot and laborious. How do women workers fare as temperatures heat up?

Join Remake’s July Community Call on July 8th at 9:00 am PST / 12:00 pm EST / 7:30 pm IST to hear firsthand the impact of heat stress on the women who make our clothes and the urgent need for climate adaptation resources.

On this call, you will hear from:

  • Ayesha Ahmad, researcher, and trainer on the links between climate change and gender-based violence.

  • Becca Couglan, Remake’s senior accountability manager, on how current brand climate commitments are failing workers.

  • Ayesha Barenblat, Founder, Remake, on the launch of a direct relief fund for Pakistani garment workers battling heat stress.
