June 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join Remake on June 20th at 9:00 am PT / 12:00 pm ET / 9:30 pm IST as we dive into the lifecycle of our clothing, and view the system of fashion supply chains as a whole. During this program we will be joined by journalists Lauren Bates and Heather Snowden, Remake ambassadors and writers for the Remake Times, who have educated Remakes community at large through their writing.

This is a great program to join if you are new to the fashion space, looking to deepen your understanding of how fashion supply chains work, or simply want a refresher on the lifecycle of the clothing we wear!

About our speakers:

Lauren Bates is a journalist, sustainable fashion advocate, storyteller and activist who seeks progress over perfection largely through her sustainability blog and podcast, Sustainably LB. Her enthusiasm for sustainability, ethics and community—and how they are interwoven—largely stems from over 20 years of progressive experience in the fashion industry. While her background is in the fashion industry, she views sustainability as a whole. To her, sustainability should be looked at as a whole–the thoughts we think, the foods we eat, the media we consume and who we spend our time with.  Alongside her pursuit of environmental and social justice, she is a co-founder of Swap Omaha, a Remake Ambassador, a member of the Green Omaha Coalition and has been published in SF Weekly, Remake TImes, Luxury Daily, Green and Beyond Mag and Elephant Journal discussing mental health, ethics and sustainability.

Heather Snowden is a writer, editor, consultant & strategist with 13+ years of working in the fashion industry with brands, publications, and retailers. Her journalistic focus is on environmental and socially responsible solutions, which she also develops through work with charities and NGOs such as Remake and Give Your Best to help make the fashion industry a better place for everyone involved.
