A Purposeful Closet: Personal Styling & Capsule Wardrobes

Discover how your style can change the world by creating a timeless capsule wardrobe with our Remake community in Washington, D.C.! Expert stylists will share how to re-imagine what’s already in your closet – plus tips and tricks for shopping sustainably and ethically. You’ll walk away with a fashion statement and wearing your values!

This two-hour event on Wednesday, January 24th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm is hosted by:

  • Bitter Grace, the only local sustainable fashion brand based in DC with a with a newly opened boutique in Union Market
  • Remake, a global advocacy organization that fights for fair pay and climate justice in the fashion industry
  • Women for Women’s Wear, a community for women who want to find and buy ethical fashion designed by women more easily

What will happen at the workshop?

BUILD: Founder of Bitter Grace, Anne Marie Johnson, will explain what a capsule wardrobe is, how to build your own, and how a capsule wardrobe can help you define your style.

BRING: Guests are asked to bring one item from your wardrobe that you would like our stylists’ creative assistance styling.

BENEFIT: Anne Marie will discuss the garment-making process at Bitter Grace – how she ensures ethical production and fair pay across the board and why she values ethical practices in the fashion industry. Learn how to feel confident and empowered to make choices that align with your values and lifestyle.
