A day of Reimagined Fashion

On April 13, 2024, The Next Turn Lisbon is hosting a day of enlightened discourse with esteemed International industry professionals, hands-on workshops, and the premier Portuguese screening of British fashion designer-activist Amy Powney’s film, Fashion Reimagined (with Portuguese subtitles).

This day promises to be the first of its kind in Lisbon, addressing the current state of Fashion and how the Industry and consumers alike can take the next turn toward a circular, just and sustainable future, while maintaining the fun and flair that fashion is at its core.

The Next Turn Lisbon is a collective of Lisbon-based Fashion Changemakers collaborating to craft a sustainable, equitable and just world. By producing innovative and educational events, they strive to reshape the fashion landscape into one of empowerment and environmental stewardship in Lisbon and beyond.

Workshop: Mending Sharing & Caring Brought to you by Clube Royale Lisbon,Sophie Lloydof Ziggy Lloyd and Spiritual Stylist Michelle Pozon: Practical tips to extend the pleasure of your wardrobe with mending and care as well as styling tips to share what you love with those you love, to maximize the fun and function of your wardrobe and amplify your everyday style.

4pm – Roundtable discussion with special guest speakers: Amy Powney: UK based fashion designer, activist, British Vogue columnist and Creative Director of Mother of Pearl, working to inspire the next generation of sustainable fashion designers and change makers. Tiffanie Darke: Director at Story Studios, Communication and brand specialist with the twin passions of luxury and sustainability, believing that the future rests in responsibility to community and environment. Former editor-in-chief, author and broadcaster. Trustee, Smart Works. Ana Silva Tavares: CEO of RDD Textiles, a pioneer in the field of sustainable fashion, with a deep commitment to environmental responsibility, revolutionizing the textile industry by integrating innovative technologies and sustainable practices. Béhen – Joana Duarte: Joana Duarte is the Founder and Designer of BÉHEN. BÉHEN continues to develop ongoing work with craftsmen, ancestral techniques and communities, while investing in the intersection between tradition and technological innovation to ensure know-how longevity.
