We lead collective action to disrupt the $2.5 trillion dollar clothing industry. We’ve built an international network of citizens, press, legislators and union leaders to connect the industry’s biggest problems with viable solutions.
Remake is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit.
Remake is a global advocacy organization fighting for fair pay and climate justice in the clothing industry. We are here to end poverty wages, unsafe conditions and gender-based violence with which our clothes are made today.
Remake’s Theory of Change is that by paying garment workers a living wage, both the social harm and the environmental damages caused by the fashion industry are reduced. Higher wages would change the business model in fashion, leading companies to slow down and make less.
Read More about how we believe this can be accomplished via our Roadmap for Fashion’s Future.
We educate citizens, press, legislators and brands through published articles, research reports, live events, classroom visits, peer-to-peer engagement, and social media. We train the next generation of climate and gender justice advocates through our global ambassador program, developing and deepening their experience as fashion activists through leadership opportunities, mentorship, skill-building workshops, and online courses.
We organize and engage brands, unions, press, and policy makers to reshape the industry. We spearhead a growing coalition of garment workers, experienced labor rights groups, NGOs, and fashion activists from around the globe to change laws and hold brands accountable. We drive industry progress towards fair pay and climate justice via our annual Accountability Report and Brand Directory tool.
