The gorgeous detailing and tassels make this clutch from LOFT a Spring must-have. In fact, we are in love with their entire beach collection as we dream of a summer beach getaway.

LOFT Clutch

This collection has a special place in our heart because we have met, laughed, shared meals and listened to the life stories of the women who made each piece. The planes, trains and automobiles we took to trek up to the breathtaking Himalayas is a trip we will never forget.

Surrounded by pristine natural beauty, is a group of incredible artisan women who farm, forage for firewood and sew to give their children an education and a chance for a better life. Their hard work and resilience touched our hearts. There is Munni whose warm smile lights up a room. She is up at 5 am, making breakfast, getting her children off to school, before she heads off to sew. Farming was always her way of life, but this new skill allows her to make more money and give her children a better life.

When we look at the intricate details of the tassels of this clutch, Munni’s warm smile comes to mind. She thinks of you, out in the world, holding what she has stitched together with so much love, and is thankful.

In the coming days will be excited to share our adventures from Remake’s Journey #2 into the Indian Himalayas. Every trip we take deepens our connection to makers around the world.

Our Meet the Makers series from this trip, will give you a lens into Munni and Sara’s life. They are mothers like many of us, juggling work and household responsibilities—leaning in to build their sewing careers to ensure a brighter future for their children.

We’ll share the human effort behind the production process—the love and care that goes into weaving, stitching and creating.

We hope to continually seek out fashion that unmasks makers and find ways for us as the Remake community to use our voice and wallet to make her life better. I know that this collection will forever hold a special place in our closet.
